Open Studio Sharing: The Waiting Room

Dear AAIS Network,

Our current cohort warmly invites you to The Waiting Room, an open studio performance sharing that marks the culmination of a two-week workshop exploring devised ensemble performance, presented as part of the Term 1 workshop series.

Join us for an afternoon of creative experimentation and collective storytelling as the group presents their collaborative work-in-progress.

The Waiting Room is suspended time; a shared spatial condition confronted with a threshold. A room within a room, unfolding into infinite possibilities. You wait, without knowing what you are waiting for. 

An exploration of the tension between stillness and anticipation, between the system that organises time and the body that resists it, this Waiting Room becomes a metaphor for hope as a continuous process, backstage before something begins. The moment of belief before the crossing, destination still unknown.
